Got to spend some more time in my re-organized craft space last night. Sure is nice to have everything in its place. Makes it easy to get straight to the fun part when I do have the time.
This is a a very simple card that would be easy to reproduce for different occasions. Just change the sentiment and you're ready to go! Perfect when you need a card but are out of time to make a really elaborate one. And lets face it, the simple ones always tend to look more elegant...at least in my humble opinion. =)
Here are the details:
- Cut a 5" x 5" square out of Whisper White card stock.
- Add two score lines made with a ruler and a bone folder (or your paper cutter if it has a scoring blade attachment). The photo at the top gives you the best view of these subtle lines.
- Punch out 6 butterflies, one in each of the six new "In Colors" from Stampin Up! (The one I used is a Martha Stewart Craft punch)
- Stamp pattern with white craft ink on the butterflies using the polka dot stamp from the set "For all you do"
- Add sentiment in Basic Black from the set "Upsy Daisy"
- Adhere butterflies with dimensionals
I really enjoyed working with the new "In Colors". These are only available from July 2009 thru June 2010. They are very bright and it stretched my imagination quite a bit to figure out how to use them. But that is the point, to get out of your comfort zone and make something new. I am really pleased with the clean and simple result.
Hope you like it too! Have a wonderful day.
